- The Eden Project: Just 30 minutes drive.
- Port Isaac and Port Quinn: Picturesque Cornish fishing villages set among the dramatic cliffs of North Cornwall. 10 minute drive.
- Padstow: North Cornwall's historic fishing town and home of Rick Stein's seafood establishments. 10 minute drive to Rock, then take the ferry to Padstow.
- Miles of golden sandy beaches in the Camel Estuary: the most popular for families being Daymer Bay. 15 minute drive.
- Sailing and Windsurfing: in the Camel Estuary, lessons and boat/board hire available from Camel Sailing in Rock. 10 minute drive.
- Day Sailing: Book a day, or half day, of sailing in a Cornish Shrimper, or Drascombe Lugger, through Camel Sailing School in Rock.
- Surfing: The popular and lifeguard protected Polzeath Beach, is just a 10 minute drive. Surf board and wet suit hire available from Anne's Cottage Surf shop and a number of other locations on the beach.
- Water-Skiing: In the Camel Estuary, lessons available from the Camel Ski School, Rock.
- Golf: Treat yourself to a round of golf at the renowned St. Enodoc Golf Course at Rock.
- Extensive Walks: available on a range of public access footpaths, both within and around the village of Chapel Amble, it's surrounding farmland and on the North Cornwall coastal path (a 10 minute drive).
- The Camel Trail: A bicycle trail that runs from near Blisland, close to Bodmin Moor, through Wadebridge and down the banks of the Camel Estuary to Padstow. Cycle hire available from numerous shops in Wadebridge and Padstow.
North Cornwall also serves as an ideal location from which to explore some of the other attractions of Cornwall, such as St. Michael's Mount, Penzance, St. Ives, Falmouth, St. Mawes and Newquay.
